Hybrid, plug-in hybrid and electric vehicles from China

In 2012, the PRC launched a government transition program to alternative fuel vehicles or "new energy sources" (NEV), including both electric vehicles (BEV) and hybrid vehicles (HEV hybrid and PHEV plug-in hybrid).
The Chinese government is actively calling for developing environmentally friendly and fuel-efficient vehicles setting a strategic goal for national automakers to become at the forefront of the global auto industry.
At the end of 2021, car exports from China amounted to more than 2 million units (doubling compared to 2020). Belgium, Bangladesh, United Kingdom, India, Thailand, Germany, France, Slovenia, Australia, and the Philippines were the top ten importers of Chinese new energy vehicles accounting for 77.8% of exports of such vehicles.
In August 2022, Azerbaijan Automobiles was the first company in the Republic to start official sales of Chinese hybrid cars in Azerbaijan. H6 Hybrid was the pioneer in this business. In the future, the company will expand the hybrid model line.
